Suwereen, what’s it all about?
In 2003, as broke teenagers, we started to self supply our hardwood needs and spray painted stencils on blank boards. Suwereen was born and soon the first videos followed. As a loose bunch of friends we kept on skating, filming and started several D.I.Y. projects.
As the phonetic script of the german word „souverän“ the name stands for beeing emancipated and independent. Not interested in making business, Suwereen never was, or will be a company. Boards and merch are just made in small units for crew and friends.
Just for it’s own sake – Suwereen is an active part of the local diy scene and Viennas underground skate culture.
